Good morning ๐ค fun fact of the day: Starting the day with a soothing cup of tea infused with a touch of honey can provide numerous benefits for athletes๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ Tea ๐ต is a hydrating and refreshing beverage that contains antioxidants and can help improve focus and concentration. Honey, ๐ฏ on the other hand, is a natural source of carbohydrates that can provide a quick energy boost. Together, tea and honey can help athletes kickstart their metabolism, enhance their performance, and provide a gentle and healthy way to begin their day. The soothing properties of tea can help calm the mind and prepare athletes for a focused and productive training session.๐๐ผ
๐ฆ The scorpion pose is a really great stretch to work into all the muscles surrounding your back and hips, such as: Hip abductors (located at the outside of your glutes and hips) Hip flexors (located at the front of your hips) and your Glute Maximus (which is largest area of your glute.) Do this a few times a week and pulse the leg up and down a little bit as high as you can go to really push the stretch (you can use your hand to push your thigh further up as iโm doing) and you will be feeling a lot better and more mobile throughout the day. ๐
Abs check after a light ab sesh and putting in some upper body work finally got to relax shower and rest with a little tea to help curb my appetite and cravings for the day ๐
Nutrition plays a key role in athletic performance and overall health, constituting roughly 70-80% of the equation, with the remaining 20-30% dedicated to physical training. A well-balanced diet provides the necessary energy, macronutrients, and micronutrients to fuel the body, optimize recovery, and support immune function. Proper nutrition also helps in maintaining an ideal body composition, which can enhance agility and endurance while reducing the risk of injury. Ultimately, healthy eating is essential for athletes to reach their full potential and sustain long-term athletic success. Today I made a soup thatโs healthy and great for weight loss ! just simply chicken, potatoes and veggies (very low carb) itโs the simple stuff that taste the best and bring the most joy sometimes ๐ฅน๐ฅฒ (enjoyable while still remaining healthy and in shape.) ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ณ๐

This is one of my favorites for ab workouts ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ โVertical toe touches.โ This exercise will help strengthen your legs at the same time since youโre keeping them flexed remaining in position with your feet pointed toward the ceiling. Using your core youโre going to lift your shoulder blades off the floor along with the rest of your upper body til you reach your toes. Then let your self back down with your legs in the same position until you feel a burn. ๐ฅ
An exercise ball, also known as a stability ball or Swiss ball, is a versatile piece of equipment that can be used to improve stability and strength in various ways. The round and unstable surface of the exercise ball engages the core muscles as they work to keep the body balanced. This constant engagement helps to strengthen the core muscles over time, leading to increased stability and better posture. In this exercise iโm doing single leg squats with one leg raised up on the ball to train stability and the squats to train strength ๐ช๐ผ
๐คธโโ๏ธHandstands are beneficial because they strengthen the upper body, improve balance and body awareness, while also providing the benefits of being inverted. Being inverted, such as in the position of a handstand has many benefits such as allowing for increased๐ฉธflow to the upper body and head, providing a boost in circulation and oxygen delivery. Mastering handstands can enhance confidence and focus, but it's essential to practice safely to avoid injury.
Have you ever heard of these? ๐๐ก๏ธThe sai is a traditional Okinawan melee weapon that is often used in pairs. It likely originated from a farming tool, which was then adapted for self-defense. Sais have been used in various martial arts practices, including Okinawan karate and kobudo. Its unique design, with a pointed metal prong in the middle, allows for versatile offensive and defensive techniques. The weapon's history is closely tied to the development of Okinawan martial arts and their cultural influences.
Chilling in the hot tub on vaca in the beautiful cold weather๐ but thereโs always a method to my madnessโฆ ๐ The hot tub is really great for muscle recovery and relaxation for a few reasons the main one being heat therapy. The hot water in the hot tub helps your muscles relax by increasing ๐ฉธ flow to the area. This increased circulation brings more oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, which aids in the recovery process. The heat also helps to soothe muscle aches and pain, allowing them to relax and recover more quickly. The buoyancy also has a good impact when you immerse yourself in water, it reduces the pressure on your body. In a hot tub, the buoyancy of the water helps to support your muscles and joints, relieving them of the weight and pressure they experience on land. This can help alleviate muscle tension and promote relaxation.
And you canโt forget hydrotherapy! Many hot tubs such as this one are equipped with jets that provide hydrotherapy massage. The high-pressure water jets target specific areas of your body, including your back, shoulders, and legs. The hydrotherapy massage helps to loosen tight muscles, reduce inflammation, and release endorphins, which are natural pain relievers and mood boosters. So give yourself a good excuse to allow yourself to sit back relax and recharge in the hot tub every now and then it is beneficial for not only stress relief but your body will thank you. ๐
