I have been here in Costa Rica for three weeks now. Less than a week left. Next time I come back, I wanna go for at least a month, maybe longer. It’s really fun for me to settle into a new routine when I travel. I like to experience what it would feel like to live somewhere and what that rhythm of life would be. I’m in that stage right now. At the moment, I feel like I live here in this remote jungle town, and I absolutely love living here. The pace and style of life allows for simple joys to feel more rich and full of flavor. A hot shower, a cup of coffee, a home-cooked meal, a sunset, all become highlights of my day. It’s peaceful and leaves so much extra time to just be relaxed and enjoy work.
The last time I was here I stayed five weeks, and I reflected this same way and thought hard about what I was missing that back home in Los Angeles provided, and the only thing I could come up with was friends. This time around, I have friends here, and I honestly can’t think of what more I need. I truly love it here. Feels like a second home 🫶

The kitchen at the villa we stayed at for the first 10 days of this trip was gorgeous but was not at all equipped for actual cooking.
