I seem to have ok days where I can do shopping or housework and then the day after I am usually exhausted. I've really let my housekeeping slip and too be able to even think about doing content I have to tidy first, and it's alot 😕🥺. Ordered some new pj's to cheer myself up, they're very soft. Tips great fully accepted to help pay for them, they were £32. I'm still feeling rough but I suppose it's my new normal now. Good news, I have an appointment with the respiratory consultant, but not until almost end of March 😕 so my inhaler will be my best friend, and I'll keep in touch with my GP. Finish my 5 days on steroids tomorrow, they have helped get me through this flare up (exacerbation as it's called). #copd
2023-01-09 23:03:37 +0000 UTC View PostHi guys, I've had a shitty 24 hours, was bad last night, struggling to breathe and coughing alot, I got no sleep and then, after speaking to gp he told me to call 999 to get ambulance ASAP. 20 mins later paramedic was here (blues &twos) and I was straight on a nebulizer. Another 20 minutes and I was ambulanced to a&e.
Nothing critical on all tests, so the current 'working diagnosis' is that it's almost definitely a chronic lung condition (copd) I've been given 5 days of steroids to help me through this flare up and my referrals to cardio pulmonary Dr's(for spirometry tests) has been bumped from routine to urgent. So yeah, I feel pretty rough and no immediate answer or plan but more was done today than has been in last 2 months and I no longer feel I was being ignored. I'm so sorry for the long post 😕 if you made it this far, I love you guys, thank you for being here x
