My reality as a dancer is that not everything is perfect. There’s a lot of things I need to physically and emotionally work on. But what I do know is I love my craft and will never give up on my talent and the joy it brings to me and so many people. 💜

Well this was a fun go go dancing outfit from this weekend! What do you guys think? I can’t ever say enough how expressive I dance when I go go dance! Complete opposite of ballet yet I excel so much doing it because of my ballet technique! Found a perfect unitard for dance today! I have a new OFTV episode coming soon that does a deep dive into what the essential ballet uniform looks like. Typically a leotard, pink tights, hair in a bun, and ballet shoes. However this unitard is tight fitting and shows off my body lines so well I cannot wait to use it in my contemporary and jazz classes! 😇

Even in chaos I feel like what keeps me grounded is my ability to completely dive into my art form of dance. I know I’ve posted many contemporary videos lately and that is because I want to show how and where my ballet technique training has taken me. Training for so many years and finding beautiful lines and turn out have allowed me to release and perform like never before and I am able to execute technical moves while emoting to the contemporary movement! When you think of ballet what first comes to mind? Pointy feet!! To get beautiful arches I work through the metatarsal arches of my feet slowly to build strong arches and toes. I hope your new year started wonderfully! I got to dance in a very burlesque showgirl styled outfit that I love! Getting to enter the new year dancing was so wonderful for me as I felt my passion explode. This year you will see so much more into my critical ballet training and how it impacts the many styles if dance I do to day to day including contemporary, jazz, musical theater, and heels dancing. 💙💙

Here I am doing a “ponche” in the beginning of the video where I hit a full split and bring my body back up to an attitude position. I then proceeded to work on my balance and my “rond de jambe” which is a circular leg movement. Always love moving throughout the day and love hearing how you guys love to move your body as well! Reflecting this Monday evening on an amazing weekend not only ballet dancing but go go dancing! As I’ve always said I love being versatile in so many dance styles because being able to dance every style helps you stand out and be a force to be reckon with! Ballet will always be the glue that holds my technique together, but taking risks in dance styles such as go-go, contemporary, musical theater and more allows for an even deeper layer of expression. ❤️ Have a wonderful Monday evening!
