Flashback Friday! In 2009 I started picking up some paid gigs as a gogo dancer at dance clubs around the NYC area. These were random photos I took backstage between sets. I was a gogo dancer, not a stripper, mind you--but imagine my surprise at one of my first gigs when the other dancer whipped off her top and danced the rest of the night wearing only pasties!! I never did that, but this was probably the earliest incarnation of "Corky After Dark." When I put those blue contacts in, another side of my personality emerged.

Blast from the Past! In 2010 at age 26 I ran my very first race, the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. I was so intimidated going in. Like a lot of runners, I didn't know what to expect from a race atmosphere, but it was so welcoming that I fell in love. You can see I had a very different body composition back then, and I dressed pretty different for a race... lol. I was also working as an actor (which meant getting rejected at a million auditions and doing background work to pay the bills) and a sometimes model... I had no idea yet where running would lead me.
