I've always liked traveling by land -- to see the world pass by you and really feel the distance you are going -- but this time was pushing it a bit 😅 Also, I think in Europe especially, trains are a spectacular way to travel and most of the long distance night trains of the past were replaced by absurdly cheap flights.
A few night trains are coming back (thats how I always get from Belgium to Berlin!) and its such a lovely way to travel. You get a little compartment with some other people---and they have women-only ones which helps to feel safe--and you hang out on the seats until its time to sleep. Then, it somehow all unfolds into 6 beds and you get some sheets and a little pillow and I swear I've had some of my best sleeps on there! Something about being rocked and the dark landscape outside... mmm! I'm a big fan :)
A night bus, on the other hand, oof, it's been a bit rough! Luckily I didn't have someone next to me during the night so I could sleep well. I don't know, I could have taken a flight and it would have all been over like that, but sometimes I think that I like some suffering. Maybe that's why I'm into BDSM also ;)
Anyway, those are some still-on-the-bus thoughts and an invitation to buy me some takeout when i get finally get home ☺️ Kissessss!
