

It's okay to use your "shallow" motivations to move you forward. We are all operating out of self-interest. I had joint pain every night from weight gain but that wasn't enough to get me to lose weight, so I focused on the social benefits of being skinny instead. I had major health issues and debt but used expensive clothes as my motivation to make more money and pay the bills. Focusing on NOT wanting a BAD thing stops me in my tracks, silly little frivolous motivators get me SPRINTING towards my goal
