Every seven years, we Vulcans must endure Pon Farr, the burning of our Vulcan bl00d. In females, it causes severe hormone imbalances that are characterized by the loss of our logic and the rise of cravings for physical pleasure.
Usually we plan ahead for these occasions, and have a mate lined up for the appropriate time. However, several factors can disrupt our natural cycle and cause Pon Farr to begin early.
Unfortunately, that is what is happening to me now. 😉
