As a teacher, my classroom had many rules and many more procedures in order to provide an environment that was conducive to the educational learning and personal self growth of everyone. In August of 2020 during the world shut down, I removed all past classroom procedures and rules and started over. In less than a year, I had unknowingly created my own rules for life. As of today, I follow my own rules and share them with others. πππΎ #1 BE SAFE (KUWA SALAMA) I went back to work in 2020 to teach students how to read, write, speak, and do math because these skills are important for people to know how to do. Everyone at the school was mandated to wear masks, stay 6 feet apart, and so on, because people were afraid of getting sick and dying. I realized to not be afraid of dying; instead, BE SAFE in life. So when I returned to Tanzania and anticipated sexual encounters, I started purchasing condoms whenever I could get them at the cheaper price. I probably have about 20 unused and unopened condoms sitting in a bag in my room right now. Being prepared to have sex by having condoms allows me to say yes when I want to and still keep my body safe. Being safe by using a condom does not eliminate fun. Being safe allows me to be assured that I am being responsible to myself and following the first rule. BE SAFE. πππΎπππΎπππΎ
