A couple days ago in Talkeetna, Alaska, I was out for a run ..

A couple days ago in Talkeetna, Alaska, I was out for a run just before sunset when I suddenly noticed the sky that had been gray and dreary all day long was abruptly vibrant with bright colors reflecting off the clouds. It was hard to believe a few hours earlier the sky had been bleak, and a cool drizzle didn’t hurt, but bothered all who ventured from beneath shelter. The change in lighting affected not only the visual stimuli, but it helped soak up the invasive dampness and enhanced all components of the atmosphere. It made me think about how quickly things can change in life. A grim picture can experience a shift, an earthly storm may suddenly clear, and beautiful details masked by shadows are shockingly illuminated and finally visible, despite their historic, overlooked existence. If you find yourself in a gray spot in life I hope an abrupt change with sunshine comes sooner for you all rather than later. The point of this post is to consider for us to appreciate a change it’s best to have still been moving through the gray, to still get out and run, and to keep working hard. If I hadn’t ventured out in the rain I wouldn’t have been present for this providential view. The views and the beauty is out there to find… we just have to keep looking despite our apparent circumstances. May we all soak up the wonders of nature today and everyday 💙 ☀️ ☁️ 💜
