Added 2024-06-06 22:36:16 +0000 UTCLife can be unpredictable. Sometimes you’re rolling along at a smooth clip, clearing obstacles, and everything feels perfect. Out of nowhere an unexpected slip can make you feel like you’re falling.
O was able to recover and kept himself him from going all the way down while I maintained my seat, but the situation could have ended a lot differently.
While horseback riding is inherently dangerous I think this scenario applies to numerous daily situations and this is only meant to serve as a reminder that life is unpredictable.
All we can do is sit up, keep our heels down, and handle what comes as it does. I’m definitely not going to stop riding because I could get hurt. We can’t live life with that kind of mindset. We ride as best we can while loving our horses. After all, they provide us with so many of the rides that keep life worth living. 💜🐎💜
*O was not injured from his slip* and I’ll always pull my horses up and off course if there is any question about their soundness or safety. The horse always comes before the rider (when it comes to riding). ⭐️
