For most...it's just a dodge neon....for me she's my life line..... I bought this car for $700 cash off FB marketplace, drove up in the middle of the night to Nashville to get her and drove her back through a snow storm, she only had 100,000 miles on her (not bad for a 2005) but had sat for a REALLY long time and everything including the engine was pretty severely rusted, but she drove so it was a start ..since Ive rebuilt the entire engine, upper and lower block, replaced the motor mounts, the exhaust, alternator, all the Pistons, cylinders, and heads, spark plugs have been replaced a couple of times, Cadillac converter, back axel, the starter, every belt, valve, and hose, intake boots, tires, (yes all my hub caps are different and I don't have one on the driver's side, I bought the car that way but the cosmetic issues are the last on my priority to fix) but pretty much EVERYTHING mechanical has been fixed on this car, the only original part left in it is the transmission, tomorrow I fix the brake calipers and replace the front axel. I have the world's best mechanic and with out him I would not be where I am at today. Most of you know I'm a professional driver, and driving has been my main source of income for the past several years. One of the reasons I'm working a farm job now is to take the wear off my car that's pretty much brand new under the hood, So she last me a long while, But this car has saved my life time and time again. Has kept me afloat and brought me a living income. With out her and my mechanic, I would be up shit creek with out a paddle. Most people see a dodge neon....I see part of my family, as with out Chidori I wouldn't of been able to feed my family. And not having a car payment has been a blessing. Yes I've put alot of money into her. But the goal was to get her running where ill not have to buy another car for years to come (knock on wood, nobody T-Bone me!!!) And my mechanic cuts me a really good deal. And yes I'll be keeping her flames...when I saw this car on marketplace I fell in love with her, she reminded me the hot wheels cars I grew up playing with. The 90s nostalgia in her is strong and she's in my favorite color! It was like this car was meant for me. Even the previous owner could see that which is why she sold her to me for nearly half of what she was originally asking, So yes I've taken the time and money to put into her and yes Im proud enough of her to pose with her for photoshoot. Because to me she's much much more then just a dodge neon,
